HORSES: GOOD FOR THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF KIDS, according to research from the American Youth Horse Council. The 2006 study, co-sponsored by Pennsylvania State University, found a significant positive relationship between total horsemanship skill development and life skills development. Horse-involved youngsters gained advantages in the areas of decision making, communicating, goal setting, problem solving and critical thinking. For more information on this study: ayhc.com
